The Gann CH17 Expert Kit is our most comprehensive kit in the Gann range for measuring a multitude of situations in restoration jobs such as measurements of structural moisture, wood moisture, surface temperature, material temperature and air temperature/humidity. It contains one multifunctional measuring device, sensors, probes, cables, electrodes and pins to suit any situation.
This Kit is for the Expert Restorer
This kit includes:
Gann CH 17 Multifunctional Measuring Instrument
The Gann CH 17 is a multifunctional measuring instrument for measuring wood moisture, building moisture and air humidity as well as temperature and air velocity.
The robust touch display in combination with modern evaluation and storage possibilities enables a completely new variety of options.
In the field of wood moisture measurement, different resistance measurement electrodes are used depending on the thickness and texture of the wood. Thus precision measurements of sawn timber (up to 180 mm thickness), chipboard and OSB boards, veneers, wood chips and similar bulk materials are possible. The automatic temperature compensation corrects measured values depending on the wood temperature.
The capacitive measuring method is used for the non-destructive moisture measurement of building materials (e.g. screeds, mortars, plasters, concrete, bricks, thermal insulating materials). This time-saving application method is ideal for detecting leaks or for monitoring drying processes in new buildings or during renovation work.
Special resistance measurement electrodes are available for the creation of exact moisture profiles and for depth measurements in building materials for the various application purposes.
Humidity and air temperature are measured by RF-T and RH-T series probes that are equipped with high quality sensors.
In addition to air temperature, surface temperatures (based on Pt100 or infrared) and material temperatures (also based on Pt100) can be measured.
In combination with the LG-25 BL air speed sensor, the CH 17 is ideal for measuring the smallest air flows and is characterised by long-term stability, direction recognition and fast commissioning.
For clean room applications, a high-precision calibration for the range around 0.45 m/s is also possible.
With its various evaluation and storage options (especially in conjunction with the GANN Dialog Pro software), the device is an indispensable aid, e.g. for experts. CH 17 also provides optimum support for all other occupational groups in the construction industry as it covers a wide range of requirements.
Gann B 55 BL Sensor Probe
The B 55 BL probe is an electronic structural moisture indicator for non-destructive measurements in building materials. The probe uses the capacitive radio frequency principle of measurement.
The versatile ball sensor is used to sense moisture in building materials of any kind as well as to determine the moisture distribution in walls, ceilings, and floors.
The Auto Sensor Technology used enables the moisture meter unit to automatically detect the probe connected and to adapt the measured value readout to the respective sensor type.
The B 55 BL probe is an ideal pre-tester for all CM measurments and resistance-based meters.
Gann TF-IR BL Sensor Probe
The TF-IR BL is a combined probe that can be used to simultaneously perform climate measurements (air humidity and air temperature) and infrared surface temperature measurements. This combination of the different measuring techniques enables the TF-IR BL probe to be used for quickly and reliably assessing dew points undershoots or determining borderline conditions on surfaces such as walls, ceilings, floors as well as on window or door lintels.
The probe has an audible signal for the detection of critical surface temperatures.
When using the probe in due time mould formations (fungal growth) may be prevented and occurrence of moistening caused by condensation may be assessed reliably.
Gann M 18 Ram-in Electrode
The M 18 is a ram-in electrode for measuring wood moisture. It is based on the resistance principle of measurement and can be connected to all corresponding measuring devices.
The electrode is suitable for measuring the moisture in thick wood and in hardwood (up to 180 mm).
The user should put his palm on the top of the electrode to keep it in its position. Then it be rammed into the wood by moving the handle up and down.
Gann M 20 Drive-in Electrode
The M 20 is a drive-in electrode for measuring wood moisture and building moisture. It is based on the resistance principle of measurement and can be connected to all corresponding measuring devices.
The electrode is suitable for measuring the moisture of sawn timber (up to 50 mm in thickness), chipboard or OSB, and parquet for example. By means of a suitable impact device (e.g. a hammer), the electrode can also be driven into hard woods such as beech.
It can also be used for measurements in soft set building materials (e.g. plasters, gypsum or aerated concrete) as well as insulating materials.
