It’s hard to believe another month has gone by, but we’re excited to bring you another edition of our newsletter packed with helpful information and industry insights!

We are beginning to feel the hints of winter here in Brisbane; the days are shorter and the temperature outlook for the next week has a max of 25 degrees (rest assured, we feel that collective eye roll from our friends down south) but are reminded that this is the time to get out your heat drying equipment.

It’s been another busy month for us in the RS/ACRA family. Travel for Garry has taken him to the Gold Coast for a week of golf followed by a week in Adelaide completing private training, presenting at the RIA state meeting and catching up with customers in SA. Does anyone want to take a guess at how much Garry’s luggage weighed on the flight over?

We’re also very excited to have our first technician complete our online assessment modules for Certified Water Damage & Mould Remediation Technician and Workplace Health & Safety in Cleaning & Restoration Assessment. Lewis from Breathe Better attended our March Flood House course and we offered each technician a chance to put the theory and practical to the test.

What are these assessment modules you ask?Our ACRA team have worked tirelessly over the last few months to find a way to improve our training for business owners and technicians alike. Our approach was simple; it should be convenient and flexible: Our online assessment is available to take at your convenience, from anywhere with an internet connection. This means you can fit it into your schedule and study at your own pace. We also know how much content we cover in our courses, and we wanted to build on this by locking the theory into memory: Research shows that taking a practice test can help "lock in" knowledge and make it easier to recall later. By taking our online assessment, you'll be better able to retain the theory you learned in our in-person training course and apply it in real-world situations on the job.
