Protox Encapsulator is a professional water-based sealant that can be used to seal mould fungus on surfaces where access conditions, or other conditions, making it impossible for a real mould cleaning with Protox Hysan. May be used indoor. Does not have mould preventive effect!

When applying, please note that a surface treated with Protox Encapsulator has a reduced vapour permeability. Therefore, a surface treated with Protox Encapsulator may appear as a vapour barrier – this must be considered in the choice of treatment method.

Documentation

When treated with Protox Encapsulator, the mould is not removed, but encapsulated and rendered harmless. A visual inspection of the treated area could, therefore, lead to the erroneous assessment of an active mould attack. It is therefore important that the owner/user of the property receives documentation of what treatment has been done, by whom, when and with what product.

Dilution: Protox Encapsulator is ready for use and must not be further diluted.

Consumption: 4-8 m² /per litre, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Applicating temperature: > 5° C

Application: Protox Encapsulator is applied by brush or spray. Relative humidity below 80%.The surface to be treated must be reasonably dry (wood surface below 15% wood moisture).

Stirring before application: Yes

Drying time: Touch dry: Approx. 1-2 hours

Application of topcoat: Approx. 24 hours (at 20° C / 60% RF).

Cleaning: Clean the tool with water and soap immediately after use.

Durability: Protox Protect is durable upto approximately 2 years in unopened packaging. Store frost-free.
